The site in second place only has 39 pages linked to it.

Oops, the site in second place is also and OSDEV site...I forgot to mention that.  I only checked the # of links to OSDEV sites.

it says by the number it found. Like www.osdever.net is only linked to 39 times. do this in google: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=& ... sdever.net

it finds 84, more than alta vista. It is in the "### links found"

also, you have to consider that osdever.net and osdev.neopages.net are the same site.

It seems osdev.org has a lot of links to it, but have you ever thought of the fact that there is a osdev ring that points here? That is the explanation.
