When you run an OS in VirtualBox and install the 'virtualbox tools', the screen resolution can be changed to exactly fitting the window of virtualbox.
Is something similar possible for BGA on QEMU?
I have tried querying the width, height, bpp values before going into a video mode, but it returns 0.
It would be great to be able to resize your QEMU window and have your OS know this and adapt its video mode to it.
Some searching didn't give me an answer and although I have not thoroughly studied the BGA code, I don't see anything specific for it in the vga.h file.
So, is it possible? And how?
Bochs BGA VBE, querying window resolution?
Re: Bochs BGA VBE, querying window resolution?
No. Bochs/BGA does not have this feature.
QEMU has a qxl option which can be combined with SPICE to get this functionality, but it's complicated and not well documented.
If you want to support the VirtualBox functionality, we have an article for it.

I seem to have missed that one, thanks.
