All off topic discussions go here. Everything from the funny thing your cat did to your favorite tv shows. Non-programming computer questions are ok too.

He is a criminal and was banned for trying to crack this very server.
I've not seen solar out of this server for more than what a typical holiday would span. Let alone that he left in a Dex-like fashion.

You cannot say stuff like that, from what you can find on other forums, he just pointed out some security flaws, in the forum.
Like, if you try to port scan the forum, your IP is banned, he then pointed out, that by spoofing all the mods IP's, you could ban the mods.
All he did was post all the mods IP's.

Hah, Combuster and Solar both were bashed on that thread (where did you find that from?). And this thread is approaching nowhere. I suppose we're going off-topic here and it's more likely that we end up to a thread lock.
Programming is not about using a language to solve a problem, it's about using logic to find a solution !
Correct, that was the day I dropped seeing OSDev as some kind of project to improve, or being somewhat responsible for. Since then, this is merely my preferred place in the web to hang around, unless I forget about my good resolutions, which I sometimes do, because I am human and not free from having a temper. Yet I believe I am still giving something of value to this community. More, at least, than posting a detailed how-to to every script kiddie around for rendering the forum inoperable because I didn't like how things went. Don't you think?
Every good solution is obvious once you've found it.
