i'm wondering how to find out what HD the user has
and how to find out how big it is.
not that i want to implement an IDE-Driver, but i'm just interested

Look in the Books list thread...in the first page I posted a link to stuff with BIOSless HD info....

Get the ATA/ATAPI info, seach Google
