get mem example???

Does anyone here have an example of using Int12h or Int 15h (Whichever has GETSYSTEMMEMMAP)? Or at least give me a little help on how I should decode the packets...
Basically, all I want to do with these calls is find how many KBytes are installed on the current system. I need this code before I can write my memory management code.
