Hi,
Just wondering if anyone knows what the Real Time Clock (IRQ8) is used for. Also, how do I set it up?

The joys of setting up the somewhat poorly documented realtime clock.... This is doc that I used:
http://www.nondot.org/sabre/os/files/Mi ... ockFAQ.txt
The one thing that none of the RTC docs seem to tell you is that whenever u get a RTC interrupt you
must outport(0x70, 0x0c) then inport(0x71). If you don't, the RTC won't send any more interrupts(thanks go to Chris Giese for telling me that for my RTC functions).
