Re:Microsoft Windows
Yes, the switch from 9 to X is easy. All my OS 9 apps run fine in the Classic environment.

Re:Microsoft Windows
That's right, Windows CE has been released as shared source since at least version 3. But the Windows CE source code doesn't share anything in common with Regular Windows -- it was written from scratch as an embedded OS.

Re:Microsoft Windows
I'm glad Microsoft makes horrible OS's. Since they are so good at bloatware, computer manufactures have to keep up and make faster machines. If you use something besides Windows, then you get the benefit of using "something besides Windows" and the speed of that "faster" machine. Microsoft pushes everyone to make better systems, since they need to be better to run the latest, slowest and fattest version of Windows. Just run any other modern OS on one of these new machines and you will see what I mean! On the down side, since Microsoft is also good at forcing new hardware to be in place, we have to avid by Microsoft?s rules. That will never stop me from using a so called "different" OS though. Linux is so popular that I don't think Linux users will have to worry about this much.
