Dear Board Owner(s)

I gave an incorrect email address while updating my existing account 'prajwala'. Now my account is inactive

Correct Email ID: [email protected]
Incorrect Email ID (which I updated in my account settings): [email protected]

Can you please update my account with correct email address and send activation request ?

As I was not able to post without a registered account, I created 'mosmanfix' account to send this post

Regards,
- Prajwala

I *think* it times out after a few days, but I am not sure. Maybe you could send an email to the incorrect address and kindly ask the owner to activate your account? If the address doesn't exist, it should just time out.

The incorrect address doesn't exist!! :) and yahoo doesn't allow me create one because userid is same... Only domain is different ( yahoo.com vs yahoo.co.in)

It helps if one can either activate or change the email id to [email protected] n resend activation mail

The account `prajwala` doesn't appear to exist.

Most importantly, you have an account now, so why don't you stick to that?

It was "mosman". I first changed the account name to "prajwala" and then I changed the email - which I messed up entering an incorrect mail id - please see attached screenshot (if you search with keyword 'prajwala' or 'mosman' you would see some posts)

:) I can but there are some old posts/comments that I thought I could hold on to if I continue using the same

I had the same issue. It means there is a common problem with e-mails. If it's too expensive to patch the php code, then may be it is possible to find a solution using administrator's tools? If such "configuration only" solution will be found all next occurrences of the problem can be dealt with easily.

What moderators and site admins think?

Combuster, thank you!! I am back with my existing account.

However, when I try to update email with [email protected] - I am getting an error something like: "you cannot use this email id"
Note: it's not saying it's already in use - but it's saying you cannot use such email id !

Wondering if it's because the domain in co.in instead of .com ? can this be a quick fix so I can use that mail id ?

You wouldn't have used that email address for your "temporary" account?

EDIT: *.co.in turns out to be on the spam blacklist. Unfortunately, that also means I can't deal with it just like that.

...and then also delete this thread, as deleting "mosmanfix" will make the thread awfully difficult to understand ;-)

P.S. Glad to see that you got your account back. I remember changing email addresses a few months ago and for some reason the confirmation email took three days to come through, during which time I was greatly concerned...
