Well, PM him. If he doesn't respond, he'll be off, and can't help you anyway. If he does respond, maybe he can tell you what to do, or why it doesn't work yet.

What does this even have to do with you?
He's been away for a month, which you can see if you look at is profile. You have to be manually accepted to the group, and he hasn't delegated that permission.

No you don't. Other people have edited the wiki without full membership

Well, again, I can't. I have a pending membership to the group, and wikipedia shouts out: Login error:
You are not a member of the required phpBB group.

That was a pointless post. It is still a wiki.

Mods: Why not just look into the issue and provide some insight into the login problem. I remember when I joined I had to get a mod to allow me access to the wiki.

Er... I was trying to be helpful. :| OrOS made a minor error that could have confused the conversation and I was simply pointing it out.

Getting back on topic, might it have something to do with the new phpBB that was installed some time ago? I know that my wiki membership acceptance was quite automatic, but it was also before the phpBB upgrade.

Then I apologize, I must have been in a foul mood or something.

My acceptance was definitely manual and it was well before the phpbb3 change came about. I just think that certain accounts get 'stuck' and need some help getting the permissions.

Sorry - no idea where this is. I see under your user notes that you are in the group "Registered Users" and not "wiki", but there doesn't seem to be any way for mods to adjust this - seems like it's definitely only Chase who can investigate.

Cheers,
Adam

the way its supposed to work, is you can add yourself to the wiki group if you want permission to edit the wiki (at least thats how it was done originally...)

try this:
go into the user control panel,
at the top there should be a 'usergroups' tab...
change the group your in from 'registered users' to 'wiki'

if you are unable to make this change yourself, then i believe we do in fact need chase to do this

idk for sure though, since i never bothered to do it myself... and being a mod, my control panel may be a little different than yours
