I'm giving away a single copy of Operating Systems Design and Implementation (3rd Edition) (Prentice Hall Software Series) by Andrew S. Tanenbaum. This is the new version released this year. Here how the giveaway will work; I will pick a date/time between now and the end of January, if you are the first person to update the Wiki after that time you win. As an extra bonus the book will be signed by Andrew S. Tanenbaum.

I already bought that book. But I can tell you that it's great! And a signed edition could be nice :D

I am paying for shipping both to get the book signed and to get it to the winner. Prizes aren't as cool when you have to pay for them.

Heh... Minix makes me hold my nose too. However, it is a well-written book, and there is value in looking at examples of what not to do. ;)

Originally sold under the title "Developing Your own 32 Bit Operating System" . I have an magazine on a shelf (Dr.Dobbs) from the early 90s that has an article about it.

The entire MMURTL source is apparently public domain now..

I also have the MMURTL pdf ebook, I'm converting it to text currently.

I think it's a really good book too. Maybe becasue it's more practical, and yet include theory. And I like that he made the assembler and part of the C compiler himself.
