Where is the best place to piece together information on more obscure platforms and peripherals? Looking at the PowerPC Overview page for example gives no information on say, the Gamecube, even though it may be of interest for OS developers. I know that I could probably find a homebrew site for the platform, but a different site for every piece of hardware is less than ideal. Is the OSDev Wiki suitable for it, is there a site I don't know about that fits the bill better, or is there no demand for such a rabbit hole?

I have lots of information on PowerPC and PowerPC systems, for example, but all of them copyrighted material... I guess that would be a problem with most "obscure hardware". There is the official docs from the manufacturer, but... well... they're the official docs from the manufacturer. ;-)
