Imagine my surprise when I put 2 and 2 together:
Code:
$ dig forum.osdev.org +trace

; <<>> DiG 9.8.1 <<>> forum.osdev.org +trace
;; global options: +cmd
.                       22346   IN      NS      d.root-servers.net.

org.                    172800  IN      NS      c0.org.afilias-nst.info.
;; Received 435 bytes from 192.228.79.201#53(192.228.79.201) in 418 ms

osdev.org.              86400   IN      NS      ns10.domaincontrol.com.
osdev.org.              86400   IN      NS      ns09.domaincontrol.com.
;; Received 88 bytes from 199.19.56.1#53(199.19.56.1) in 219 ms

forum.osdev.org.        3600    IN      A       173.255.206.39
osdev.org.              3600    IN      NS      ns10.domaincontrol.com.
osdev.org.              3600    IN      NS      ns09.domaincontrol.com.
;; Received 104 bytes from 208.109.255.5#53(208.109.255.5) in 81 ms

After all the recent news about it, is there any hope this site will move to a different registrar?

I've gotten bunches of emails today from pingdom (so yea! that works)

If you are interested in the report you can go here: http://stats.pingdom.com/fynxqq23mmzh

And yes, I'll be moving away from godaddy. I've been trying out namecheap and I already have osdevelopment.net hosted with them. Next to expire (November) and move are:
OSDEV.NET
OSDEVELOPMENT.COM
OSDEVELOPMENT.ORG

Well that went smoooothly....
After an hour on web chat they fixed it...Not sure how I feel about NameCheap at this point. I mean it is nice and all that they don't shot elephants but they have a bug in their system. We'll see what they say when they follow up with me.

What kind of features did you use? I've been using Namecheap for years now without problems. Mostly for the anonymity service, for domains that i don't care to show the world that I own. The swedish host www.Loopia.se has an excellent DNS controlpanel and API for anything else.

Just a URLRedirect entry. It was still present in the web UI but had gone missing from the underlying DNS servers. They migrated the domain from their V2 system to V1 and back to V2 and it started working again.
