I ate half of it yesterday. As for the other half, no idea. I'd have a look in the fridge. Or maybe one of the cupboards.

In all seriousness, I'd just like to say to everybody that I hope I do a good job and don't let you down. I know there's been a bit of discussion lately as to where OSDev.org is headed, and I want to make sure that direction is up.

Huzzah!!

So what're titles for some other mods? I'd say:

Brendan, Emperor of General Knowledge
Candy and mystran, "Masters" of Bending Time That Miss Epic Threads and Questions

yeah, the other half is my fault. :)

There are some good ideas that are being tossed around, and I hope I can help in making some of them happen. I'm quite honored to have been offered this placement and will try to live up to its expectations.

You too, young padawan, must learn that technical skills are the least important property of a good moderator.

Honesty and loyalty are the most important, no? The technical skillz are just a boost to the smartitude factor.

honestly, you dont really expect good moderators to talk about the reasons someone was not selected as a mod do you?
one of the most important qualities of any leadership position must always be discretion

without going into detail:
i have seen much improvement in dex over the 6-8 years he has been posting here on osdev, and i can honestly say he is not the person he once was (which is a good thing), (note that there is much more than one single thread to his detriment) but i am not at this time ready to recommend him (not to say i never could, just that im not ready now)

even if he didnt have such a past, not every good person makes a good moderator (and unfortunately the one i think would be the best, wont... but you know who you are, and that is another topic altogether)

remember, out of hundreds of people who visit this forum regularly, we can only select a few as moderators

What I posted was based on my own impression . My judjements may not be right all the time and I am not good with these things . I shall be more careful later on .

thats all right
sorry if i sounded a little harsh

my primary point was intended to be that the moderators shouldnt be talking about people... and wont be giving good reasons for such decisions as that is something that should be discussed privately where non-mods cant see it (and in hind-sight, i probably said too much myself... dex, if you would like me to, i would be happy to edit it)
