Hi,

I tried to register with the latest Firefox 3 beta on Mac OS X and got an error message stating I need Javascript (which it obviously supports).... So had to use IE on Win instead. Browsing the forum and site works fine though. Thought the admin might want to know :)

Would it be possible to add the option to allow one to search in just the title of a thread / post?

Thanks,

This might be a stupid question, but was Javascript enabled?

You never know...

If you were on Mac OS X what's wrong with Safari?

Mainly I just like Firefox better. But, the thing that really drove it home is that both browsers crash every once in a while for me. That always happens when I have a ton of sites open. Firefox asks me to restore the session after a crash, Safari just ignores it like nothing happened.

With the new FF 3 it's also faster than Safari and uses a ton less memory (it was always lighter, but now especially).

All around win for me. But everyone has different things they want or like, so....

I just wanted to let the site admin know since FF 3 will be out of beta soon...

Or did you mean I could've used Safari on my OS X instead of IE on Win? I ran Parallels on my Mac so it was the easiest thing to grab next since I already had an IE window open there :)

lol what's wrong with safari??? =)

mac users dont even use safari. I honestly think that they should make a deal with the creators of FF to have it shipped on OSX as it will save all their users the hassle of downloading and installing it. Safari IMHO is mac crapware.

The Javascript thing is a little anti-spambot thing I hacked in to phpbb2. Thanks for pointing out that it doesn't work. I'll have to look into it once FF3 is official if I don't have a chance to upgrade the board soon.

That's flamebait if I've ever seen it. Safari uses the KHTML rendering component - the same one that Konqueror uses. It also doesn't use 200 million billion megabytes of ram while idle.
