I'm developing an Introduction to OS course - you can get all the details on that from my other thread. I'm thinking that having an actual OS programmer to help me devise assignments and projects. A large part of the work would consist in building and documenting projects with the "skeleton OS" I mentioned in the other thread.

I don’t have a huge budget, but I can probably afford a small pay; and of course having helped setup a university course would be a boon to anyone’s resume! I’d prefer someone local I can work with in person (as you can guess from the thread title, I’m based in Thunder Bay, Ontario), but failing that I’d be willing to work through email with a qualified individual anywhere on Earth.

Check this out:

Its the google cache of Skelix OS...
Its some guys attempt to code an OS broken down into assignment type chapters...

The main site is still live, but tries to send you a virus scaner popup (mal-ware)

There are a few Canucks on this site, maybe someone is around Toronto, or something. You'd have to be awfully lucky to find one in Thunder Bay, out of the 2K active members on the site.

I'd say that the main problem is that many people here are raw beginners, and all of the rest have put several man-years into their OS code and are nowhere near done. So how can any of us really call ourselves qualified OS builders?

Can anyone ever claim an operating system to be "done"? :D
