Those wanting to find to more about assembly language (or C and C++, or other topics in general) might want to use the search function on this group of message boards as a starting point. An awful lot of assembly-language advice (both good and bad) has been posted on the OS board, in particular, and it would be wise to Search The Message Board before repeating a question that has come up before.

To get things moving, I'll put a few links to some assembly-related threads I have posted to myself:

C programmers might find reply #13 in this thread, on the C preprocessor, useful as well.

I'm only mentioning my own postings because, well, I know them; I am only one of many good programers around here (many are in fact much better than me, such as CrazyBuddha). Trying to see what they have said before will help reduce the redundant threads to a minimum and keep the board moving smoothly. HTH.

An additional thing to note: the search function has max and min date/time parameters that are set in hours and days. The max days setting defaults to 7 (one week). To search the entire mesage board database, set the number to some higher value (say, 1000 days, or just about three years) before running the search.
