I'm moving house in a couple of weeks (about 2 minutes around the corner!)..

from east london.. to east london. just another street next to the one I'm in now.. and that means disconnecting my current ADSL line...

which means I might have _no_ internet for a few weeks... (until I can organise something or get ADSL reconnected at the new place)...

if worse comes to worse, its internet cafe time augh! yuk...

at anyrate... i might give the admin password, just in case I disappear for a time...

Bweurk, public internet. Here, that means crashes when you are where you want after 15 minutes waiting.

Oh, London. I live there. Depending on whether it's NTL or BT internet, you might get it done in about a month if you are lucky.

its BT. its connected in this house (current), so if the new house is BT, i just ring them up and change my ID phone number.

(i'm taking all my cabling + adsl router/switch with me ofcoz!)..

hehehe, i'm untacking the 30 foot of phone cable the BT engineer installed from the box point to my bedroom... very handy since he spliced the ends and put in a portable rj11 box, basically I can run adsl cable from one end of the house to the other.. so if bt changes my connection over to a new ph#, its cost free for me... and since its only 1 street over, its the same ADSL MUX/XCHG...

aaah london... fscking BT!

Here all internet cafes have DSL. The downside is that all of the Counterstrike freaks hog them for hours and hours.

anyway, if you hand the admin power to someone while your gone, just give them the password and change it when you get back online.

As the saying goes... don't ask, because you won't receive. Basically if you ask... you are most likely not going to get a position...

The way to get what you want and make the giver feel good about it, is to make him/her think it's his/her idea. It's a bit more difficult than just asking, but it's more likely to get what you want, with supplements.
