I can imagine some abstruse programming language treating output as a sort of assignment to a super-global variable, (i/o could be considered a scope outside the program,) but that wouldn't make an output command the same as specifying global scope; it's a different scope. So, yes/no question...

Does it mean global in one language and print in another?

Let me take a wild guess: is it . ?
