Well that's impressive! I've read so much about Ryzen CPUs totally killing it but I haven't got my hands on one. Maybe you started this thread to make us feel jealous?

I recently upgraded from a Core 2 Quad Q8400 to an i5-8400 with a GTX 1060. Can't complain about the performance. Although I still mostly use my laptop for programming and I (try to) work out with Blender and play a few games on the higher end rig.

I never bothered about a keyboard and mouse. I still use the keyboard that came with my Dad's IBM Pentium 4 in 2005. It works and I'm just used to it so much.

3GB or 6GB 1060? at 1080p i heard there wasn't much difference but i am guessing at 1440p its a fairly big difference. Is that keyboard PS2 or USB? I am guessing it is USB considering a lot of new motherboards don't seem to have PS2 ports

The 6GB variant. It was worth the extra ₹8000 ($120). The 3GB variant not only drops memory but also a few CUDA cores.

As for the keyboard, it’s USB. I’m not really sure but hadn’t USB pretty much taken over PS/2 by 2005?

This is sort of how it looks: https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-41A5289-SK-8825-Computer-Keyboard/dp/B006U250KM except it’s got a few round buttons over the function keys, for shortcuts like “My Computer”, “Documents” etc. and control buttons for an MP3 player on the top left. They don’t work on a modern system though. Feels great for a 2005 keyboard.

I was wondering whether the keyboard was USB or PS2 because I have a keyboard from a Pentium 4 in 2002 - only 3 years earlier that is PS2

I use a quite old computer, fully satisfying me.
It has:
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA something, xD don't remember, North bridge is P35, south bridge is ICH9
CPU: Core Quad Q6600 @2.4GHz
RAM: 8GB DDR2-800
Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT
HDD: 250 GB WD
SSD: 32GB Transcend
SSD: 60GB Patriot
Monitor: 19'' Samsung SyncMaster 940nw
Also I have 21'' Philips monitor with an HDMI port bought specially for work with arm/mips SBCs.
OSes: Windows XP SP3 (the same installation from the start in 2008), Windows XP x64, Windows 7 x64.

I also have a spare desktop with Core Duo E8400, and AsRock motheboard (G35/ICH7), 320GB and 160GB WD HDD, it lacks memory.
And a laptop from 2012 year, Core i3-2330M, 4GB DDR3, 640GB WD HDD, Windows 10.

Aaaand - iMac g5  with some PPC CPU inside, forgot the model, it is from 2004 and has only 512MB of DDR, no PCIe, some AGP graphics card, quite lagging behind its PC counterparts from the same time, but, of course being more expensive, it's apple, everybody. I've bought it just for fun. was dreaming somewhen to play with the PPC architecture.

And of course, I have a small bunch of arm/mips SBCs as targets for my hobby. :) I guess I mentioned them here already. Shortly, it's Beagle Bone Black, Cubieboard 2, Pine64+ 2GB, CSA90 set top box with octacore rockchip rk3368 SoC, Banana Pi M2 Ultra and Mips Creator CI20.

HP 24" monitor

Surface Book
HP mini PC
Old Athlon PC

Along with several work PC's (which are pretty much "thin clients", my main home PC is:

i7 7700K on an MSI Gaming M7 Z270
Dual GTX1080's in SLI
64GiB DDR4
4k LG 32" monitor
Dual M.2 512GiB SSD's (plus a 2GiB 7200RPM spinner!)
Windows 10 (with a few other OS's on VM's ready to go (hence the crazy amount of RAM)

No real need to OC at present as it runs everything at 4k in Ultra graphics at 60+FPS.

I built this one last year - an upgrade to a 10 year old computer that I wouldn't care to admit the specs of...

i7-8700K in Asus Prime Z370-A, 4.8 GHz all-core
EVGA GTX 1080 Ti
16 GB DDR4-3200
250 GB Samsung 850 EVO, striped 2x 1TB WD Red, smattering of other spinning rust
Windows 10 Pro
24" 1080p 144 Hz TN monitor, 24" 1080 60 Hz IPS monitor

I guess if you care about the peripherals my keyboard is some weird Gigabyte thing with MX Browns in it and my mouse is a Corsair M65 RGB Pro.

I'm one of those people who spends exactly way too much money on a PC every five to seven years and then does incremental upgrades as necessary. Next thing will probably be a big SSD once 1 TB ones hit the $300 mark.

After struggling along with this Lenovo t410 for several years now, I have (against everyone's advice, due to my financial situation) decided to bite the bullet and build a new desktop. I was able to order an MSI B50 Pro micro-ATX mobo and a used case/PSU combination on eBay, and have ordered a Ryzen 3 2200g APU from Amazon. I still need a new monitor, memory, and storage; I am looking at the following as the final load-out.

AMD Ryzen 3 2200G APU
MSI B350 ProSeries motherboard
Rosewill micro-ATX case and 450W PSU
Asus 24" 1080p monitor
16GB (2x8GB) 2666 DDR4
WD Blue 500GB m.2 SSD

The total should be about $425 after taxes, which is about, oh, $425 more than I can afford right now, but I feel I sort of need it.

My personal workstation is a Lenovo Edge 72. I5, 16G, 256gb ssd, 750gb hd, gtx 1050ti with a 500/500 internet connection and three monitors with one in portrait mode. On the road/work I use a HP Elitebook Folio.

In my free time I play on and with my Tulip PC Compact II, Zenith ZFL-181-93 (first PC I ever had) and trying to repair my Toshiba T1000.

I run a vmWare ESXi 5.5 server with a Core i7 12 core CPU and 24GB RAM -- which is still a SATA boot drive so I am locked at this ESXi version. I connect to a Drobo b800i SAN.

This vmWare host runs several guest servers, including a server for backups, server for VPN access when I'm on the road, a media server, a bug tracking server for my bugs and TODOs, along with several others. Included is my OS development/test VM -- 6 cores, 8GB, 1TB (thin provision) disk, FC28, with QEMU & Bochs for testing.

My personal workstation is a Lenovo T520 dual booting Win7Pro and FC26. While probably not the fastest environment, it suits my needs quite well.

Desktop / Game Rig, bought back in 2014 when Elite Dangerous came out:

Mainboard: Gigabyte GA-H87-HD3
PSU: Thermaltake Paris 650W
RAM: Vengeance LP DDR3 1600-999 8 GByte
CPU: Intel Core i7-4770 @ 3,4 GHz
Cooler: bequiet! Dark Rock Advanced C1
GPU: Gainward GTX770 Phantom 4 GByte
SSD: Samsung EVOBasic SATA3 120 GByte
HDD: Seagate ST1000DM003 7200 rpm SATA3 1 TByte
Optical: LG BH16NS40 16x BD-R
Case: CoolerMaster CM690 III
OS: Windows 10 / Linux Mint 19

When on the road or lounging about somewhere, I have an Acer Aspire One D260 Netbook, 10,1" display, Intel Atom N450 @ 1,66 GHz, 1 GByte RAM and 250 GByte HDD, also running Linux Mint 19. And my smartphone is running Termux, which does serve in "emergencies", and allows SSH-login to the always-on RaspberryPi 3 for some coding work. ;-)
