This is pretty entertaining story:
- AMD and Intel joining forces to create laptop chip to take on NVidia: well I Dont think I will buy that laptop because chips might still be fighting inside the laptop
- Intel posted millions Nirvana that is faster than Nvidia GPU, and also there is a Google TPC (tensor processing core) that beats nvidia. But there is one missing IMO, critical one: Ecosystem and brandname. Nvidia has established itself for decades as a leader for graphics computing and CUDA is well known and easier to program and thus much more widespread. I think Intel is just going to flop on this one just like it did in mobile space after throwing billions. And I'd rather see Nvidia going through roof. I dont think it will be easy to unseat NVidia as dev-s that are used to nvidia sdk will be reluctant to adopt newer one.
