I am just curious about this. Is there an operating system anybody knows about that is designed and dedicated specifically as a media production/video editing/creative suite? Especially if it's free/open source. I'm asking whether there is an OS equivalent of the Adobe suite or something similar. I know that there were dedicated character generators and stuff in television/movie studios in the 90s, so I'm looking for something similar to that.

Too bad it uses only a standard-grade video editor.

Were you expecting Adobe premier?

Neither Avid or Adobe support Linux, so you'll have to make do with open source alternative if you go the linux route.

I didn't really need it. I was just curious what was out there.
