LOL should have realised that was a MacBook... the title bar of the window looked somewhat like Linux Mint at first glance. (Mis-)recognised it because I use Linux Mint myself.

I didn't think you could run more than one version of Windows on the same computer. Doesn't Windows only work in a primary partition on the first hard drive?

You can run windows perfectly fine from any partition on any drive, It will always (or at-least in my experience) use C as your windows install drive, unless you force it somewhere else - which can be a hassle.

EDIT: and to keep with topic here:

The red cross on the desk is actually the OEM warning from Microsoft Server 2012, placed them there a year ago to get them out my way lol, and they are still there
The green folder is filled with a bunch of printed out OSDev WiKi pages and other resources

There's not much to say other than that, obviously, you thought wrong. I've just told you that my main computer runs three different versions of Windows.

Well I guess I just confused about the Windows thing. Really, just calm down.

Actually I chose that username a long time ago when I joined a vintage Macintosh forum. I'm a little into vintage Macintoshes, but I am by no means a "modern" Apple guy. No, I'm a Linux geek!

I pretty much assumed that his username was referring to his raincoat.

I don't think you have enough computers... and that is an interesting vase you have there ;)

I recently upgraded my laptop to a new custom-build a few weeks ago. I should post a picture sometime. I've got a nice large monitor for the bit of remaining sight that I can use (and for when mom's proof-reading a document for me), but what I really like is the smooth elegant black case, Microsoft 600 keyboard and mouse (I hate Microsoft really but their keyboards are the best I've found - and really good too, for me anyway), and lovely quiet fans. I can hardly hear this thing running :-) . Oh, and finally having a proper desktop speaker setup at my computer (*much* better than those pathetic laptop speakers that made my screenreader sound like it was talking through a plastic cup - but maybe that's because it *was* talking through a plastic cup :-P ).

Would you mind telling what eye sight problem do you have? (Well, I've near-sightedness and I'm quite worried about it.)

I'd rather not go into details but it is a degenerative condition and has nothing to do with near-sightedness so you don't need to worry :-)
