I thought this link was a good read and applies to anything really, not just Haskell. I for one have never used Haskell but could see the parallel between it and just about anything else, and how it was written was really well.

If you are new the operating system development and you are young then this is likely one of the greatest
reads you will ever make and will help you structure yourself no only for working on your operating system
project but for the world of jobs, relationships, and the world.
