Hi, I'm new to this operating system development, but I can do some modifications and this kind of basic stuff.
My operating system is called TonariOS (don't tell me why I chose this name), and based on MS-DOS and FreeGEM, at first I was able to make a 100MB iso (use it as hd) and install MS-DOS with CD Support and then installed FreeGEM. So I installed SHUTDOWN and RESTART and modified GEM.BAT, so when you exit, you select them. But out of the blue, Virtualbox stopped using iso. So I'm using DosBox for some testing. But when I edit DESKTOP.RSC, DESKTOP.APP fails. I want to know what I did wrong and also some help me if I'm stuck. I am a person who learns over time. Please, I've been trying to do this for a few weeks. I tried to talk in another forum and so far I have no answers.

What you're doing isn't osdev, and is almost definitely a violation of the license for MS-DOS.

If you want to build a custom DOS distribution, you should look into FreeDOS.
