Post subject:  AMD SimNow vanished

Hi,

I've spent some time being busy with things other than osdev. Coming back, I noticed that AMD SimNow seems to have vanished off the internets. All I can find is an archived download page. Does someone have a copy of the Linux version lying around (the last version seems to be 4.6.2)?

Cheers, Leo

Hi I have both ms win as well linux versions
simnow-linux64-4.6.2pub.tar.gz 50122809 bytes
simnow-win64-4.6.2pub.exe 22679522 bytes
I saved them 25 June 2010, I still have them in my old archive. Let me know how to exchange them. I used win version a lot. I also saved linux version just for case I would need it in the feature, though never needed linux version. So instead of me, it will be useful to you.
After about 1-2 years win version disappeared from amd download pages, then reappeared again in 2014, just the date of win version changed, but the binary was the same in 2014 as in 2010. So apparently later they disappeared again till today (now both linux+win, not only win). History repeats itself.

Hi,

That's great news! I guess you could E-Mail it (if it doesn't exceed any attachment limits) or upload it somewhere and share a link. Just drop me a PM with whatever works best.

Cheers, Leo

@feryno I'd also appreciate it if you had the time to share it with me as well :)

OK guys, all requests satisfied via PM. I can't expose download links directly here in forum.
Just let you know, the CPU with most features in SimNow 4.6.2 public is vp_bp_phase1.bsd
Especially if you would like to develop hypervisor, this is the only one cpu with SVM capabilities. vp_bd_phase1.bsd is singlecpu system, so for SMP you have to add second cpu into the emulator manually, especially handling INIT-SIPI under SVM is tricky.
