Maybe you could add a summary of all the differences for compiling a x86-64 toolchain as well...

Alright I corrected a few minor typos here and there. Works great. Binutils 2.18, gcc 4.2.2, newlib 1.15.
I found that when I changed any of the config (even as simple as a missing semicolon in one of my source files) I had to erase the build directory and redo that part. Just calling configure and make wouldn't work for me.

It is my testbed platform. Only has the 3.5" and 5.25" floppy drives.
