EBCDIC is used in very very very old IBM computers. You won't find one that's made in the last 25 years, except on special back-orders.

not old, current. as400's still use EBCDIC 
if you dont explicitly tell it what language system to use, you end up with ebcdic on your tables.

Siemens BS2000/OSD host machines are using ebcdic code too. I'm dealing with that stuff all the day.
