And what do you mean by 'affected'? Maybe I've got it all wrong (English is not my mother tongue) but it sounds very negative to me.

Well, Islam is considered to be a bad thing after 9/11 (or even earlier), though the reason is rather the religious fanaticism than Islam.

Islam is not a bad thing after 9/11. Neither other religions.
I don't think Islam tells everybody to attack USA.
Too bad. Islam got bad reputation because Ai-Qaida terrorists (Osama Bin Landen) are Islamics and attacked USA.
