If you didn't write it down to remember it later, it must not be important.
kerravon wrote: ↑Wed Apr 01, 2026 12:18 amTell that to the 2chan people.
The 2ch people only invented the keyboard layout. You're the one who wanted to force people to use it.

So you can't use a remote terminal unless it's a "PDOS infrastructure" remote terminal?
kerravon wrote: ↑Wed Apr 01, 2026 12:18 amThe Japanese user - even if using katakana - only needs to keep track of a single SBCS.
Assuming they never want to use more than 256 unique characters, and never want to trade files with someone using a different character set, sure. Are those reasonable assumptions?
kerravon wrote: ↑Wed Apr 01, 2026 12:18 amI am writing for a computer that could be built in 1990 - before the internet fad thing.
Who said anything about the internet? The world was already connected in 1990, even if most of those connections weren't what you'd call the internet.
kerravon wrote: ↑Wed Apr 01, 2026 12:18 amThat's exactly what I'm competing with. I can design a computer system that is superior to using a pen and paper.
Pen and paper doesn't limit me to 256 unique characters.
kerravon wrote: ↑Wed Apr 01, 2026 12:18 amIt's being called PEPS now (Gemini made that up), which is "Phonetic English Proper Spelling".
Okay. Which dialect of English? Since it's phonetic, the same word will be spelled differently depending on how it's pronounced.
kerravon wrote: ↑Wed Apr 01, 2026 12:18 amAccording to Gemini,
Why are you asking the machine instead of asking me, the person who wrote the post?
kerravon wrote: ↑Wed Apr 01, 2026 12:18 amyou're worried about "losing meaning", but I'm worried about "losing time" (time taken to get a 4 year old literate).
Well, now I'm worried you're going to waste your child's time teaching her nonsense instead of English.

Looks like someone sent spam emails using that IP address, either intentionally or because one of their internet-connected devices was compromised.
