Is there any official osdev.org-chatroom (skype, teamspeak, discord etc) going on? Instead of meeting in real life, maybe consider some videochats etc.

You are the first person show interest! You might be the only one. Let me know (PM?) if you want to meet up.

Necroposting, but to Andrew: I'm in NYC if you would ever be interested in grabbing a beer or whatever.

I know my join date is today, which is shady, but I've been lurking here for years -- evidence at https://github.com/JMarlin/P5-Redux/tree/master/P5OSPPB. Hard to find people who understand why someone would be into this kind of junk, so this strikes me as neat.

Another necropost, but I'd be interested if this worked out, I'm in New York too, off from university so kinda bored.

TBH, this would be a really good idea for Australia, because there are so many kdevs in Australia. Would be cool to have a meetup

The problem is that Aus is really big. You and I are 900k apart, Brendan 800k and thepowersgang, well, he lives 2 time zones away. Still, definitely worth a taking about.

I'd be interested in a NYC OSDev convention.

I think there will only be 3 or 4 of us who would show up.

When would work for everybody? Week days or week ends? Lunch or evenings?

I would prefer mid and lower Manhattan.
