LinuxQuestions.org is mostly about installing and uninstalling things on varieties of Linux. Majority of the regulars of that community aren't the kernel "developers". LQ does have a "Linux-kernel" section but if you look at it keenly you'll find that many of the threads there aren't solved, don't have detailed discussions and all.
Another problem (IMO) is that LQ is a "crowded" place. Usually you won't find regulars there explaining conceptual topics in much detail (excluding their programming section).
This forum deals with the general kernel "development", so I thought it is very much possible that the people here "might" be able to "hint" out something even when the question is related to Linux.
I do not expect anyone to write essays for me here. If they feel I should read the doc 'y' for the question 'x'. I'll surely do that and then pop in back again.
