the first is not a logo used by a company, but i dont think microsoft would hate it, we just make some advertising for them, but "apple" might not like it.. or maby ...

As said, using someone else's logo in your own is disputable, if not illegal. I'll let it for another moderator to decide whether to actually remove it, but expect it to be disqualified.

I found it very hard to take the concept of operating system development and convert it into something visual, but it comes a little close, ha. I never remember using gears when writing a kernel, but they look so cool.

It looks a little blocky, because I saved it as a jpg instead of a png.
