Hello all! I am happy to announce that AQUA OS SVE 1.2 is out now!

You can download the disk image now:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/72tbsuk6m6womuu/aqua2.iso

Please report any bugs that you happen to come across.
Here is what you can expect:

- New warning for when trying to run the AQUA with less than 512 megabytes of RAM.
- New widget page (just testing now).
- Smaller disk image (only 12 megs).
- Interface tweaks and optimizations.
- New log application.
- A lot of bug fixes + a lot of new bugs!

Thanks for trying it out!

I tried running it on qemu (version 2.8.50 on windows 10 64bit), but I couldn't move my mouse there. It just jumped to the left side of the screen and it was stuck there.
On VMWare Player 12.0 (on same computer), I couldn't move my mouse either.
On VirtualBox, it worked.

So it presents me with a screen where I need to put in my password, unfortunately, I was unable to type anything, so I just clicked the arrow icon.
Then I played around with some things that were on the desktop (or should I say home screen?). Sometimes my mouse cursor disappears and I have to restart the VM because it is unable to respond to anything after my cursor disappears.
Also sometimes, when I exit out an application I get a "guru meditation" in VirtualBox, looking in the VirtualBox log file, it shows some information about VGA before it reports the crash.
The user interface was really smooth to work with, so you did a nice job on that.
I tried out the drawing application, It works well.
The shell option in the tools menu did not seem to work, I suppose it has not been implemented yet.

Overall it felt a little bit buggy. But you have a good base to work on, so good luck with your OS :)

Thanks for trying it out!

Indeed, there are still a lot of bugs to iron out.
The shell application and login screen have not been implemented yet.
The cursor staying / disappearing from the screen is because of either you have moved it to the very bottom / right side of the screen, or for some other reason (most surely a bug). That's also some serious dedication to try in qemu, then vmware, THEN virtualbox.

Also, side note I can see that in your profile you come from Belgium. Me too!
EDIT: removed the cringe

I tried it on a Haswell Xeon with 32GB of RAM.

It displayed the Aqua logo and then rebooted.

Actually, after having tried it in qemu, it is true that it stays to the left of the screen. I don't really know why.

Umm... I'll look in to that. It's possible that having more than 4 gigs of RAM makes the mmap confused. And that happens after the aqua logo appears. I'll have to make a fail safe if that is the case. Thanks for trying it out anyway!

Also, I'm working on fixing ALL bugs !!! :D Yay!

AQUA OS SVE 1.2 b is out now, and since I don't want to pollute the forums with AQUA topics, I'll add a download on my site.
1.2 b is just a bug fix. Apps won't crash anymore and that's pretty much it.
