Hi,

I started writing a series on the x86 architecture for PoC||GTFO, since issue 0x04. Issue 0x05 featured the second article in the series, and I take the opportunity to share both with you:

  • PoC||GTFO 4:3: This OS is a Boot Sector.
  • PoC||GTFO 5:6: These Philosophers Stuļ¬€ on 512 Bytes; or, This Multiprocessing OS is a Boot Sector.

I think the articles do a decent job of telling you about the x86 architecture in minimum bullshit. I'd love to get feedback on either.

Furthermore, if you've got good ideas for future articles, feel free to share! I'm also thinking about other architectures, especially ARM. If you want to help, you can point any mistakes in either, or donate some to the author for beers (or equivalent)!

Lastly, PoC||GTFO is a very exciting journal and I recommend you read it regardless of whether my articles interest you or not.

Regards,
Shikhin

I'm interested in taking a look, but those links don't seem to work for me. Anyone else having problems?

I have downloaded one file. It's like a magazine with articles about everything. Sometime it is funny.

@SpyderTL: The links works, but it seems that either the server is slow or the files are big, not sure which is which. Perhaps you want to try again?

Hi,

I just selected a mirror of PoC||GTFO I'm comfortable with. You can google to find more.

Also, each PDF acts as a zipfile and contains all previous versions (this is exactly why it's inflated in size -- the latest is close to 75MiB). Thus, if you download 0x05, you don't need to download 0x04.

Regards,
Shikhin

The files are quite large (issue 0x05 is 80M) as they are binary poly-glots, the latest opens as a .pdf, .zip, .iso and .swf. Another mirror can be found here: http://jacobtorrey.nfshost.com/pocorgtfo/

And also boots to the latest version of Tetranglix.

Cheers,
