His page is nowhere to be found. Emailing him at his original mindspring email resulted in a bounce. I included everything from the original DS-OS package. For obvious reasons, I've included NTRawrite as an INSTALL.COM substitute.
A86 assembler: http://eji.com/a86/index.htm
NTRawrite: http://sourceforge.net/projects/ntrawrite/files/

Files in DS-OS.zip
$IMAGE.BIN
NTRawrite.exe
NTRawrite.html
boot.a86
cmd.a86
ds-os.lst
ds-osinfo.html
dump.a86
install.com
macros.inc
os.a86

Having no trouble unzipping here (using 7-zip), perhaps the OP used a more advanced not-so-common ZIP compression method.

Sorry guys. I was trying to make the ZIP as small as possible. When I'm back home, I shall compress with conventional settings.

Works for me (and the first one didn't, so you fixed it.)

Thanks, I can unzip it now. I can't install it though. The install program crashes under plain XP and it freezes under MS-DOS (in Virtual PC 2004) and in DosBox. I also tried to write $IMAGE.BIN directly to a floppy. It boots but doesn't find OS.SYS.

Hi guys, this is David, just a note that if anyone is still interested that I've resurrected this page and its files here: itfromterabit.net/dsos
