Sorry for jumping but I want to learn barebones C. I know some already but how do you put it all in a kernel? How would I get started with that kind of thing?

Cheers

I'd advise you to forget OS development for the time being and concentrate on user programs. It seems to me, from your questions, that you have no clear aim in mind at present. Once you know what you want to do it should be fairly self evident how to get started.
